Fresh charges for Perth dentist accused of ‘drugging, raping’ several women

A Perth dentist accused of drugging and raping women he met on dating apps has been hit with fresh charges.

Another alleged victim has now come forward, claiming Farzam Mehrabi attacked her.

Mehrabi on Thursday made his first court appearance since being released from prison on home detention bail.

The 31-year-old is facing five new charges relating to the new alleged victim he met online.

Mehrabi is accused of inviting the 19-year-old to his Shelley home in January, when he allegedly put a substance in her drink, causing her to become “incapacitated”.

WA Police say he then allegedly indecently assaulted and raped her and impeded her breathing.

The fresh allegations bring the number of his alleged victims to eight.

Mehrabi first appeared in Perth Magistrates Court in March charged with similar offences against two women.

The court was on Thursday told media reporting of the case had resulted in all of the other alleged victims to come forward.

Mehrabi can only leave his home under the supervision of his parents or to see his lawyer or his team’s private investigator, hired to work on the case.

The 31-year-old will be back in court in September.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and detectives urge anyone with information relating to this matter, or any similar incidents, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
