A Sault Ste. Marie dentist is matching up to $15,000 in donations from businesses and residents to St. Vincent Place’s Lunches for Learning program.

Dr. Carlo Biasucci’s pledge is good for contributions made until Dec. 31, a release says.

St. Vincent Place spends nearly $2,000 each week to buy nutritious items, including deli meat, cheese, yogurt and fresh fruit, for school lunches for almost 300 children.

Donations can be made at, or by cash or cheques made payable to St. Vincent Place. Mention Lunches for Learning in the subject line.
